Where It All Started
Barry’s journey in customer service started with his mother, whose warmth and hospitality set the stage for his career. Barry’s first role at Walt Disney World was as a Recreation Host (lifeguard) at the Polynesian Resort. During his tenure at Disney, Barry ascended through various leadership positions in Disney Hotel-Resort Operations, Food and Beverage, Convention Operations, Event Management, Global Corporate Meetings and Events, Tradeshows, and Premium Services. His expertise also contributed to international theme park grand openings, worldwide Disney Company Corporate Events, and optimizing operational segments launching Disney into the luxury, premium market.

Barry played a pivotal role in signature Disney experiences such as Golden Oak, a private residential community on Disney property, and Club 33, Disney's exclusive in-park membership clubs and optimizing operations at Disney's Spa and Salons with Character Couture, Disney-inspired hair and makeup.

Barry was recruited to join the Dallas Cowboys as the Vice President of Special Events for Suites and Events with Legends Hospitality Management. He spearheaded premium services for 324 suites, 10 private clubs, and corporate/stadium-wide events, including the esteemed Super Bowl XLV (45).
Additionally, Barry ‘s career included executive roles as General Manager with ClubCorp, Director of Convention and Conference Management at the Venetian and Palazzo Resort; Casino, and Director of Meetings and Education for Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

It was exciting to be on the ground floor.” The D23 Expo has continued to be a thriving platform for ‘everything Disney.’ Barry was named by Event Solutions Magazine as Corporate Planner/Producer of the Year and presented with its Spotlight Award.
